With over 34 years of experience in commercial and asset-based lending, Michael Hengl leads the Capital Markets team at BizCap. Based in San Francisco, he plays a key role in managing relationships, underwriting credit transactions, and collaborating with partners and clients on commercial financing and strategic advisory mandates.

Michael’s extensive career includes 18 years at Western Alliance/Bridge Bank N.A., where he most recently served as Senior Director in the Capital Finance Group. He successfully led asset-based lending teams, negotiated complex credit lines, and managed a portfolio of $180M in commitments. He is also experienced in working with private equity and venture capital firms.

Earlier in his career, Michael held senior roles at Bank of Walnut Creek and Westamerica, where he led commercial and asset-based lending divisions. Michael’s vast experience in lending and strategic advisory makes him an invaluable asset to BizCap and its clients.

He is a graduate of California State University, Hayward with a BA in Finance and Managerial Economics.
