Bob Sick is a seasoned expert in rapid transition CEO /Advisory work for companies in the $10M – $200M sales range. With over 20 years of experience as a CEO and in private equity, his background has focused on turnaround, crisis, and rapid transition situations, including the necessary financial restructuring required in these scenarios. As such, he is uniquely positioned to provide his CRO expertise to Business Capital’s clients. With his long history as a CEO, Bob has the specialized background and the detached perspective necessary for a Chief Restructuring Officer who will make the hard choices and do the job right.
Bob has held 16 CEO positions and many board/advisory positions across a multitude of industries. His management and advisory work includes a number of private equity firms, venture capital portfolios, owner-operated firms, as well as founding and operating his own companies.
Prior to his CEO and Private Equity work, Bob worked in financial and operational consulting for Arthur Anderson and for Ernst & Young. He has extensive experience managing large financial, operational, and information systems improvement projects with clients such as Sun Microsystems, 3Com, Novell, Hill Refrigeration, Lockheed and Morgan Construction, as well as a number of smaller high technology startup operations. He was named Ernst & Young’s consultant of the year prior to leaving consulting to manage his own company in early 1990.
Bob holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering / Engineering Management, as well as a Masters in Engineering / Economic Systems in from Stanford University, and a BS degree in Engineering, also from Stanford.
