Reed Upson is a managing director at BizCap. With over 10 years in banking and finance, he leads the Capital Markets team and plays a central role in managing and developing relationships, underwriting credit transactions, and working closely with partners and clients to commercial financing and strategic advisory mandates.  Over the course of his career, Reed has led the execution of over $750M in commercial transactions.

Prior to joining Business Capital, he worked in the commercial banking and finance industries, most recently as an underwriter with New Resource Bank (now Amalgamated Bank) in San Francisco. Reed currently serves as the president of the Board of Directors for the Northern California Turnaround Management Association (TMA).

Reed earned both his B.A. in Business Administration and his M.B.A. at Dominican University of California, where he was an awarded scholar-athlete and led his lacrosse team to their first NCAA trophy.
