Business Development Officer, Regional VP

Business Capital is growing it’s national business development team. We are seeking motivated professionals to fill BDO positions in the following regions:

Job Summary:

  • Build on and nurture relationships with existing partners and referral sources
  • Independently identify and develop new referral sources
  • Identify and attend relevant/appropriate industry and regional events for networking and new business opportunities
  • Directly call on viable leads and clients to discuss/scope prospective opportunities
  • Understand and effectively articulate our products, services & value proposition
  • Originate and drive complete sales cycle with ability to: source, qualify, engage and close clients
  • Partner with underwriting team to tailor solutions to meet prospect’s unique needs and throughout deal cycle to manage process towards successful close
  • Effectively utilize company’s CRM ( system to thoroughly document all prospect related interactions for proper account management and sales cycle stage reporting

Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Strong network of financial professionals, including commercial bankers, asset-based lenders, equity and debt sponsor groups, banks, law firms and business consultants that can help identify new clients in need of our product/service offerings
  • Drive and proven ability to develop and close new business
  • General knowledge of lending and deal structure
  • Capability of working independently and managing time effectively, yet collaborating to achieve team goals
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Confidence in contacting and engaging with high level management; direct calling & networking
  • Attention to detail; process and procedure

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience combined in commercial finance-related profession and B2B  marketing/sales
  • B/A or B/S degree minimum
  • Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Salesforce CRM database a plus
