 Credit Manager

The ideal candidate will be expected to utilize a solid background in commercial credit underwriting and strong analytical skills combined with business development abilities to further the company’s new and existing relationships. The Sr. Credit Analyst & Development Officer will support the Company’s underwriting and documentation efforts in analyzing, closing and funding commercial loans to middle market and lower middle market companies; and will support the Company’s growth efforts in nurturing partnerships with banks, financial institutions and others in lending network. This position is based and operates in the San Francisco office.

• Reports to the Chief Credit Officer & Managing Director
• Maintains communication and information flow with syndication partners, approving credit officers, management and borrowers during underwriting process
• Analyze, assess and document critical components of commercial credit data, including financial statements, projections and business plans required for credit decision
• Spread financial statements, identify primary credit issues and prepare accurate, concise, focused underwriting document incorporating financial, business, industry and risk analysis
• Monitor the documentation process to close
• Participate in industry functions to increase visibility in the marketplace, network with key players in the finance industry to develop and maintain key contacts and referral sources


• B.A or B.S. degree, preferably in accounting, finance or other business financial-related studies
• 4 plus years of commercial credit underwriting/analysis, lending or related experience
• Strong credit, financial analysis and underwriting skills; understanding of credit profile, credit policies, and risk management objectives
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to demonstrate sound business judgment in presenting the financial condition, credit history, experience and character of clients
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with prospects, borrowers, loan officers, agent banks, credit administration and other bank personnel as appropriate during the underwriting process and to build and maintain relationships
• Ability to manage complex asset based transactions with support of Chief Credit Officer
• Excellent analytic, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work with confidential information, little supervision and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Strong PC skills – Microsoft Excel and Word; Salesforce CRM a plus


Compensation: Salary plus Commission; Comensurate with experience
